FIAVE is born, the first Spanish federation representing the audiovisual and events industry

The Federation of the Audiovisual and Events Industry (FIAVE) was born with the aim of being a speaker and a useful tool that brings together the claims of different companies and associations in the production sector of all kinds of events in Spain.

FIAVE brings together different regional and national business associations, both in the event production sector and those that supply their technical equipment. All of them represent the problems of this large sector. FIAVE is the sum of the complicities of entities and companies of all sizes, locations and specialties that comprise the rental, supply and installation of professional audiovisual equipment and services for events.

The initial objective of FIAVE is to unite the industry of the entertainment and events sector to request the government measures that allow its survival and thus defend the rights of its associates. “The audiovisual and events industry is a sector that has been very affected by the Covid-19 crisis, causing a halt in its activity, aggravating its situation and survival. The drastic drop in billing becomes a serious cash flow and viability problem that can cause the definitive closure of many companies with the consequent loss of jobs ”. Details, Francisco Bustamante León, president of FIAVE.

The associations that currently make up FIAVE are AEPEA, AFIAL, ANITEC, APAC, APROAV and UEPEMUR; a group of entities that have come together to make public their serious situation and at the same time ask the Government for much more rigor and commitment to the audiovisual sector, transferring a set of measures that would truly prevent the destruction of many companies and jobs in this industry. The set of these associations represents more than 500 small and medium-sized affiliated companies, which together with hundreds of other companies in the sector, are currently unable to carry out their economic activity as a result of the crisis caused by COVID-19.

The short-term mission is to enlarge the network of associations that make up the Federation, to defend the rights of the audiovisual industry in Spain and make it more visible. “More and more associations are joining FIAVE, we are hopeful to continue expanding the group and having more capacity”. Add, Francisco Bustamante.
